This institution was started in 1986 for the welfare of destitute children. Now there are about 45 children residing here in contrast to only 12 children when it was started. They are looked after with great humanity and fervour. They are provided with free food clothing and accommodation and also medical facilities. In 1992, the Government of Karnataka has accorded the institution with the honour of voluntary organisation. This task was undertaken by the generous attitude of Swastisri Bhuvanakeerthi Bhattarakh Swamiji the pontiff of Sri Kshetra Kanakagiri. He has extended the human love for the downtrodden and poor children in a secular manner. He pronounces the principle of Samanvayamantra and national secularism. It also bestows religious hymn in addition to providing food and shelter on the basis of humanitarian scale perennially. The institutions has elicited human love, affection and compassion amongst the toddlers and children. Its exemplary work is much admired by all the people. |

SRI PUJYAPADA DHARMARTHA HOSPITAL |

This hospital was inaugurated on 3rd August 2003 by Sri Kagodu Thimappa, Health Minister, Government of Karnataka. This hospital has been started in memory of Acharya Pujyapada with an intention of serving the rural folk in and around Kanakagiri. |
